1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using ExpansionLens ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

ExpansionLens provides location analysis reports for business expansion decisions. Reports include competitive intelligence, demographic data, market capacity estimates, and strategic recommendations based on publicly available data sources.

3. Account Registration

To purchase reports, you must provide a valid email address. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.

4. Purchases and Payment

Reports are sold on a per-report basis at the price displayed at the time of purchase. All payments are processed securely through Stripe. Prices are listed in US Dollars.

5. Refund Policy

We stand behind every report we generate. If a report fails to generate due to a technical error on our end, you will receive an automatic full refund. If you are otherwise unhappy with your report, send us a message at support@expansionlens.com and we will refund the cost of the report. Refunds are processed to the original payment method within 5–10 business days.

6. Acceptable Use

You may use reports for your own business planning and decision-making purposes. You may share reports with partners, investors, or advisors. You may not resell reports, use automated systems to generate bulk reports, or use the Service for any unlawful purpose.

7. Data Sources and Accuracy

Reports are generated from publicly available data sources including the U.S. Census Bureau, Google Places, Walk Score, and OpenStreetMap. While we strive for accuracy, ExpansionLens does not guarantee the completeness or accuracy of third-party data. Reports are intended as decision-support tools, not as definitive investment advice.

8. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its algorithms, scoring methodology, design, and content, is owned by ExpansionLens. Reports you purchase are licensed for your use — you do not acquire ownership of the underlying methodology or software.

9. Limitation of Liability

ExpansionLens is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any business decisions made based on our reports. Our total liability for any claim arising from your use of the Service is limited to the amount you paid for the specific report in question.

10. Modifications

We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. We will notify registered users of material changes via email.

11. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms. You may delete your account at any time by contacting support.

12. Payment Disputes

If you believe you were charged in error, have not received a report you paid for, or have any other payment-related concern, contact support@expansionlens.com before initiating a chargeback with your card issuer. We respond to payment inquiries within one business day and will resolve legitimate issues promptly, including full refunds when warranted.

13. Governing Law

These Terms and any dispute arising out of or related to them or the Service are governed by the laws of the State of Ohio, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. You agree that any legal action or proceeding arising under these Terms shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Ohio, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.

14. Dispute Resolution

Before filing any formal claim, you agree to first attempt to resolve the dispute informally by contacting us at support@expansionlens.com. We will work in good faith to resolve the issue within thirty (30) days. If the dispute cannot be resolved informally, either party may then pursue the matter in the courts identified in Section 13. To the fullest extent permitted by law, you and ExpansionLens waive any right to a jury trial and agree that any dispute will be resolved by a judge.
